The Software Engineering group is growing in Krakow and Akamai is looking for strong engineers to code the customer experience for Akamai’s platform and create a large-scale multi-tier web applications.
The team’s work encompasses the full engineering cycle: derive requirements, define features, design and develop the implementation, verify for correctness, analyze usage patterns, scale and extend systems as Akamai grows its business.
Building that kind of software is a challenging problem for many reasons, including the size and global spread of Akamai’s customer base; the diversity and scale of Akamai’s solutions and 2000+ employees dispersed in locations around the globe.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop REST APIs web based applications (Java 8, microservices, docker)
* Refine and develop tools, processes and technologies used by the team
* Take the initiative and design & propose own solutions
* Take ownership of the assigned projects
* Assist in managing changes to existing customer applications
Qualifications:
* Java development experience
* Good knowledge of Spring and Hibernate frameworks
* Relational database programming experience (preferably Oracle)
* Experience with Javascript frameworks (preferably AngularJS)
* Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP)
* Technical expertise working with UNIX/Linux environment
* Fluency in English
